“Artificial Intelligence” (AI) was coined: McCarthy coined the phrase “artificial intelligence” in 1955 to refer to the science that studies how to make robots think like people.
He organized the landmark workshop known as the Dartmouth Conference (1956), which is generally considered to be the official beginning of AI research.
Language for LISP Programming: Because of its versatility with symbolic reasoning, LISP, which was created in 1958, rose to prominence as the primary language for AI programming.contributed fundamentally to the development of machine intelligence simulation.
